Practice Manager
(207) 626-3448 x 1162
Andrea Downing joined the team at Crisis & Counseling Centers in 2016 as a Crisis Administrator. By 2017, she was turning heads due to her work efficiency, attention to detail and motivation to grow within the agency and was recognized as Employee of the Month. At home, she was busy caring for her young children and earning two degrees back-to-back in an effort to further her knowledge and her career. In 2021, Andrea was promoted to Crisis Administration Manager and quickly demonstrated her strength in co-managing across multiple departments and working collaboratively with staff for the betterment of the agency. Her performance demonstrated her to be a natural fit for the role of Behavioral Health Practice Manager, which she accepted in June of 2024.
As the Behavioral Health Practice Manager, Andrea will be responsible for overseeing the Client Care Department and creating new and sustainable workflows to ensure that the team provides the best possible care to its clients. She intends to do this while also stabilizing and growing the Client Care Department, enhancing her knowledge of the Outpatient Services at Crisis and Counseling Centers and building a team that supports its clinicians in every way possible so that their focus can remain on providing optimal care.
Andrea takes great pride in her ability to foster a sense of connection and belonging for staff. She hopes her leadership style will help her maintain and recruit new team members that share her commitment and dedication to Crisis and Counseling and its clients.
When Andrea isn’t leading the Client Care team, you can find her serving on her town’s Recreation Committee, planning various activities for all age groups in her community, or doing all things “mom”. She enjoys playing with her children and juggles a busy schedule rushing her daughter around to cheering practices and routines and helping to raise funds for the team.
