A message to our community

We are excited to share that Crisis & Counseling Centers has joined Kennebec Behavioral Health as of December 1, 2024. This partnership reflects our commitment to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care for our community, ensuring continuity and enhancement of services across central Maine.

All the services that our community has come to rely on from Crisis & Counseling Centers will continue to be available under the Kennebec Behavioral Health brand. This includes vital Crisis Services in Kennebec and Somerset counties, as well as the statewide GEAR Parent Network, which supports parents and caregivers. Our goal is to ensure that every program and resource you trust remains accessible, with the same dedicated staff, to support the well-being of our community.

If you are a client of Crisis & Counseling Centers, please rest assured that there will be no disruption to your care. You will continue to receive the same quality of service from the Crisis & Counseling Centers professionals you know and trust, who will become employees of Kennebec Behavioral Health.

We want all clients to continue working with their existing providers; however, we respect client choice as a top priority. If you decide not to continue with us as we transition to Kennebec Behavioral Health, please call our Access Center at (207) 626-3414 or speak with your provider to help facilitate the release of records to another service provider of your choosing.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support our community and the clients we’ve been honored to serve. Our focus is on making this transition as seamless as possible for everyone involved.

Warmly,

Amber Kruk
Executive Director for Crisis and Counseling Centers
Director of Development and Community Engagement for Kennebec Behavioral Health
