We value your privacy and have created this privacy policy so that you may understand what information about our visitors we collect and how we use it. This privacy policy applies to the website located at crisiscandcounselingcareers.org as well as the related crisisandcounseling.org sites (the “Sites”).

How and What Information is Collected

Visitors may view content on the Sites without providing personally identifiable information. Crisis & Counseling Centers collects and stores visitors’ personally identifiable information, including names, e-mail addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, personal website addresses, Twitter handles and social media profile URLs only when visitors’ voluntarily submit it through either our newsletter sign-up or job application process.

We also collect and store aggregated anonymous information about visitors, including internet protocol addresses, domain names, browser and operating system types used to access the Sites, demographic information and device types. (“Anonymous Visitor Information”). Anonymous Visitor Information is not associated with or linked to a visitor’s personally identifiable information.

Our Sites may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account or are logged in to that website.

How That Information is Used

Personally identifiable information is collected so that:

  • if a visitor has signed up for our newsletter, we may send that visitor our newsletters to inform them of happenings at Crisis & Counseling Centers: recent projects we’ve launched, content we’ve created, new employees we’ve hired and available positions at Crisis & Counseling Centers.
  • if a visitor has submitted a job application, to evaluate the applicant’s fitness for the applied-for position or contact the applicant.
    if a visitor has submitted a form or comment the data may be checked through an automated SPAM detection service.
  • We do not sell or share visitors’ personally identifiable information with third parties, EVER. However, in the event Crisis & Counseling Centers is acquired or merges with a third party, we may be required to disclose visitors’ personally identifiable information to the acquiring or merged into third party.

Applicant Materials are used to evaluate a job applicant’s fitness for the applied-for position and may also be used in an anonymized form on the Sites. By submitting a job application through the Sites, you grant Crisis & Counseling Centers a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use the Applicant Materials on or in connection with the Sites and our social media pages.

Anonymous Visitor Information is used to improve the Sites and make them more useful to visitors. Anonymous Visitor Information may be shared with third parties for any reason, including marketing and promotional purposes.

Unsubscribe

Once you sign-up for the newsletter via the Sites, you are automatically subscribed to receive it every time we send it out. To unsubscribe from the Crisis & Counseling Center newsletter, simply click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter and follow the opt-out instructions.

Security

When visitors submit personally identifiable information to the Sites, the information is protected both online and off-line. All of our visitors information is restricted to only Crisis & Counseling Centers employees and contractors who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our director of human resources to evaluate and contact job candidates) are granted access to personally identifiable information.

All personally identifiable information the Sites collect about visitors is stored in limited-access servers. Crisis & Counseling Centers has technical, administrative, and physical security measures and safeguards in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under Crisis & Counseling Centers’ control. The Sites use secure servers to protect from loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Although we do take such reasonable steps to secure data, we cannot guarantee that information visitors provide to the Sites will not be accessed by unauthorized third parties.

Children

Crisis & Counseling Centers does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from or about children under 13.

Crisis & Counseling Centers may deem it necessary or appropriate from time to time to modify this privacy policy to reflect changes in the way the Sites collects or uses information or when there are changes in privacy-related laws, regulations, or industry standards.
